Fraglets™ Art System for Therapeutic Art 

The Fraglets™ Art System is designed so that any setting —  hospitals, elder care facilities, hospices, and similar institutions—can easily establish a therapeutic art program, where the creative arts are offered for pleasurable or therapeutic uses. Components of the Fraglet®™ Art System:

•    4 large Art Palettes.  Each 9” x12” Art Palette tin includes a colorful palette of 80 Fraglets®. 
•    4 magnetized lap “canvases.”  Each 14” sq. canvas is designed for the artist to create art at any angle or position. Four different painted backgrounds (2 black, one each of blue and white) offer a choice for the artist.
A printed manual with detailed and visual instructions, suggestions, and tips on how to engage people in creative art play.  Also included is a resource directory and arts and health references. A CD-ROM includes all printed material and templates for printing images to give to the artists, as well as to put in the portfolio.
A pocket-sized Japanese-style portfolio with images of artwork created using the Fraglets™ Art, and blank pages to add additional images, to inspire confidence.

While the act of creating art with Fraglets® is satisfying in and of itself, there is additional satisfaction in having a permanent image of the artists’ works.  For that reason, we highly recommend a digital camera and portable printer, as it allows a copy of the Fraglets® Art image to be immediately printed and given directly to the artist. Because many institutions or programs already have access to digital cameras or printers, and we are conscious of budgetary constraints, we do not include these devices in the Art System.  We have experience with digital products from both Kodak and Canon.  Many electronic stores carry the Kodak Digital Photo Bundles, as well as the Canon Compact Photo Printers. These items can easily be found in electronics stores and departments.
